Passage to Poros:
In the Sanctuary of the Sea God
Dr. Ed Tick
(Details…)
Explore the reawakening of ancient Greek healing practices by taking this journey of transformation, myth, and divine presence to the sacred island of Poros, a site of pilgrimage and healing for more than 3,000 years.
This book examines pilgrimage, sanctuary, and asylum, the duties of Poseidon who was the ruling god of Poros. Edward Tick rediscovers asylia, the original practice of sanctuary that provides safety and inspiration while facilitating healing and connection to divinity. He explores “crossing the strait” as safe passage between the visible world and the invisible realms of the sacred. Drawing on ancient traditions Tick shows how we know ourselves, our destinies, and our connection to the divine through dreams, visions, oracles, and synchronistic events. He continues his decades-long revival of Asklepian dream incubation and other modern versions of ancient rituals while providing a deep dive into the sacred history of Poros and how it can bring transformation and serenity today. He also reveals life-changing mystical experiences his travelers and he have had over 40 years of pilgrimages, including encounters with animal guides, higher powers, and oracles, as well as examining the physical and spiritual restoration of Poseidon’s sanctuary and contributing to its literary and mythological legacy.
Passage to Poros offers wisdom for anyone seeking healing, sanctuary, spiritual presence, and reconnection with ancient and eternal forces.

Body as Shadow:
Jung’s Method of Embodied Healing
Erica Lorentz
(Details…)
An engaging exploration of Jung’s personal and professional relationship to the embodied soul, its role in his theory and clinical work, and its continuing relevance today.
- Bridges a critical gap in Jungian literature, offering a richer, more integrated view of individuation.
- Clinically grounded, with vivid case vignettes that show how embodied active imagination works in practice.
- Essential reading for Jungian practitioners, scholars, students, and all therapists interested in deepening their clinical practice.
“Reading her book has already increased my understanding of the wounded psyche and the methods that best lead to its healing. I highly recommend this book.”– Donald Kalsched, author of The Inner World of Trauma and Trauma and the Soul
In a world bursting with theories and techniques about the body and how to incorporate it into therapy and trauma work, very little is written about Jung’s knowledge of the embodied process. Body as Shadow articulates this Jungian perspective in depth, underpinning Jung’s approach to the body with neuroscientific research and later Jungian writers with their own theory and clinical knowledge. Embodied active imagination was Jung’s preferred method of encountering the psyche and traveling along the path of individuation. To illustrate Jung’s theory of active imagination as a powerful tool for transformation, Erica Lorentz presents case material that facilitates the readers’ experience and understanding of the Mundus Imaginalis (the imaginal realm), where soul, body, emotion, energy, imagination, somatic unconscious, and subtle body guide both client and analyst into a dialogue with the personal and archetypal unconscious in the healing work. These vignettes also offer a lens through which readers can perceive the interactive field of the therapeutic relationship. What does this process look like? How do we learn to embrace and work with it? Weaving theory and clinical process, Lorentz expands conceptual understanding, making it embodied and real.

Soul Healing:
Healing through Dream Incubation, Visions, Oracles, and Pilgrimage
Dr. Ed Tick
(Details…)
The modern practice of medicine and psychology grew out of the ancient Greek healing tradition. Exploring the soul-healing practices missing in our contemporary health systems, Edward Tick, Ph.D., looks at the dream incubation tradition of Asklepios, sacred theatre of Dionysos, oracle gifting of Apollo, and their archaic roots. He includes techniques and case studies to reveal how healings are achieved with these methods and how we can restore soul healing in individuals and culture and integrate the sacred and mythological dimensions in contemporary medicine and psychotherapy.

Polishing the Bones
Penelope Tarasuk, PhD, IAAP
(Details…)
An intimate portrayal of a woman’s unfolding inner journey through her Jungian analysis, her dreams and her terminal illness as she is guided deeper into the mysteries of life and the extra-ordinary transformation of her death. This is the story of Laura’s creative journey towards her completion, with all its longing, pain, transcendent beauty and love. After the conclusion of her Jungian analysis, Laura becomes terminally ill and her former analyst comes to live with the family to help her to die. The intimacy and depth of relationship between the two women and the foundation of guiding dreams form a container for an unfolding spiritual journey with numinous experience and sacred visions. We witness the tender care of Laura through and after her death as well as the experience of the author, who undergoes her own transformation through an awe-inspiring initiation into the realm of death itself.
